You must stop by my lab for tests. [For medical reasons, of course. But the quick frame upgrade is interesting.]

Right, the ball. I'm curious about the celebrations, but I'm not leaving until I have confirmed a babysitter.

[playfultyrant]

I shall. Perhaps right now work for you? [ He grins and flicks his wrist. ]

As for a baby sitter I'm sure we can snatch someone up. I know that Smokescreen fellow might be easy to bait into watching her. Or maybe we can set up a job app for the night and interview candidates

[eugenesis]

Of course. [The appearance of Megatron's new look reminds him that he hasn't kidnapped anything recently to run tests on it - the baby has taken a lot of attention and time. He is glad for her existence, but it did put a delay on his research.]

I'll put feelers out for volunteers. There has to be someone who doesn't want to go to a party.

[playfultyrant]

Wonderful. I'll be down in no time. [ With the comm off its not long that there's a knock to the lab doors. Hopefully that doesn't wake little Aura. There comes a second knock and the doors will slide open.
If Scorponok is not there, he'll simply wait inside. ]

[Scorponok enters his lab shortly after. Aura Froudine is clinging onto his back, her legs tightly gripped around a rounded plating of his natural form, and he's attached a cloth around her to keep her from moving around too much in a dangerous room. She twists in place, not out of frustration at being confined (she likes the warmth), but to observe all of the bizarre instruments.

Her eyes lock on the white and blue stranger in the room.]

Take a seat, Megatron. [He pulls out a crude Spark meter stolen from the medbay.]

Of course [ He takes his seat and smiles at the little abomination of cuteness. She would of made a unique cybertronian if only she was built instead. ]

I will first preface that in my perspective I have been gone for ten years. [ he holds up his hand before Scorponok can start anything. ]

I was rusting to pieces in a comatose state. I will not go to the doctors to discuss this. I rather trust you with my health, Scorponok.

[eugenesis]

[Aura's cheeks puff out in suspicion.]

What were you doing in those ten years? [He waves a medical wand over this chassis, then the arms.] Spark's still working, I don't see anything immediately alarming. Let me take your Energon pressure.

[He holds Megatron's elbow in one hand and watches the joint for extreme corrosion.]

I was eaten, Scorponok. I let myself fall and become ...something stuck in the planet eater. [ He snorts out. The energon levels beep an unusual high count.]

I couldn't move, I had a mouth but I couldn't scream. [ He wiggles his finger at the little Aura. ]

[eugenesis]

You...were eaten. By a planet-eater. [He didn't live long enough to see Unicron in his universe.] That would explain your injuries, but what of these bizarre energon levels? It's far higher than what would be required at your size.

[playfultyrant]

While I was in the state of rust, something woke in there and had been feeding Unicron and inevitably myself Energon of our home dimension. Potent stuff as you saw on that moon. But I am full of might I never imagined I could hold.

[eugenesis]

So this has more energy density than the usual kind. How often must you feed to replenish this?

[He turns around to grab new tools, which puts Aura Froudine in Megatron's full view.]

[playfultyrant]

I'm not certain at this point. I replenish on anything that produces energy but the Energon of my home dimension is what I will say perhaps triple the use of normal fuel sources. I'm fine, I think. But I won't be as powerful if I'm not dosed on that.

[ Megatron coos after speaking at little Aura, wagging a finger up to her face. ]

Look at her, she's so big now.

[eugenesis]

[Aura hums in response to the entertainment provided by a stranger at a safe distance. She's not fully convinced this is someone she knows from before, and yet something about his voice feels familiar.]

She can't fit inside my chest anymore, but she's gotten good at grabbing things can she hangs onto my back all the time.

[He turns around again.] Open your mouth, and I'll get a liquid sample. From there, we'll start work on repairing your joints.

[playfultyrant]

Ah, well at least you won't be startling the crew. Now we wait for her next step to scare everyone. Walking! [ He laughs at his own joke. Then covers his mouth to slow his laughter, removing his hand to keep his mouth open calmly so the good 'doctor' could collect his sample. ]

[eugenesis]

[A swab rubs over the inside of his mouth in less than half a minute. Scorponok turns around to set up the blood test station and to collect his repair kit, bringing Aura Froudine back into Megatron's view.]

They just don't have any tolerance for science. [Why would anyone be afraid of a robot opening his chest? He's just storing a living thing inside of him!] She'll have to learn to crawl first.

[Aura continues to stare at the white bot with a familiar voice. She braves losing her grip and turns around to get a good look at him. Thankfully, the bundle wrapped around her keeps her up, though she looks ready to leap off at any moment.]

I remember stories of my first attempts of walking. Its amazing to think these ones must learn first. I could do it withen the first few hours.

[ Never mind how he begged someone to help him stand. But he'll certainly be there to help this one to her feet if she asks for help. ]

Oh Scorponok, might I hold her a moment? [ He holds his hand out to the little mischief creature. ]


I bet she's love to be held by dear old Antlers.

[eugenesis]

Go ahead. [He turns on a machine to prepare the sample and washes a few more tools.] Organics spend most of their live learning how to survive. It makes them excellent learners. Their modules are designed for adaptability.

[Aura, unable to move around on her own, sits placidly while Antlers wraps a large hand around her torso. She turns upward to her papa's head and chirps with concern as she's pulled out of her bag.

Thankfully, Scorponok turns around in time. A protective presence stands nearby.] I need access to your shoulders.

Oh it's like holding a Minicon all over again. Hmm? SHoulder? Yes yes. [ He adjusts and moves so his left shoulder is in view and reach. While he holds with his right hand. ]

Fascinating. [ He carefully sets her on his knee and protectively keeps his hand around her so she can stay sitting. ]

She's not exactly as smushy feeling as a human. Must be the exoskeleton and turtle shelling.

Hello, Aura. Remember Antlers? Untie Meg?

[Scorponok slides cold tweezers in the gap between the plating and injects a cool healing fluid inside. As it cleans up the rust in one spot, he works on other areas on his arm. Meanwhile, Aura's gaze swaps between the two mechs. Thanks to Megatron's support, she can direct herself to watch him and crane her neck to stare at Scorponok. Who is this, dad? her body seems to convey.]

The shell protects the soft parts, but she's still sensitive. If you are to handle her, do so gently.

[playfultyrant]

These hands will be as gently as handling the most delicate of materials. [ He states proudly and shivers at the injection. He's used to these things but its never pleasent but at least holding something so much more fragile them him makes him put on the brave face. ]

Gently gently. [ He repeats as he brushes a finger up at her face as an attempt to pet her. He coos out. ]

Do you see, Aura. Your father is not only a dedicated doctor but I am a brave soul who can handle a little bit of tinkering. I bet you're a brave one too. [ Oh what pride and joy she gives. He slowly rises his knee to bounce her when ever Scorponok is not busy in the careful work of his joints.]

[eugenesis]

Don't move your shoulder too much. It must heal. [He grabs Megatron's forearm and angles it to inject more of the liquid into his elbow joints.] Be careful with her. [His voice is harsh; Aura is more durable than a human, but he can't help but worry for her safety.

The baby, meanwhile, hums at the petting. She likes metal hands, and this guy feels comfortable. She accepts him as a friend.

The sudden bounce is fun! She giggles at the movement.]

I feel there's no sense in being afraid of an operation. I don't operate to kill, I operate to improve.

I am nothing but careful, remember I had minicons in my care for along time [ Never mind the ownership he claimed over them as if they weren't sentiant... ]

And if you must know, being so small and young she would not understand you weren't trying to harm her. The point is, to show her now before she takes a check up some day and see there is nothing to be frightened of. Especially if you are in the room with her.

[eugenesis]

You make a good point. She's a big young to understand the concept of a check-up, but anything helps at an early age. [Aura, meanwhile, wriggles restlessly on Megatron's lap. Her parent is doing something to him, which she has no understanding of, but that doesn't matter. She wants entertainment.]

Any pain? [Scorponok asks as he steps away to refill the syringe.]

You've struck a nerve but.... I'm putting a brave face. For Aura. [ He pets her face again with a finger and while Scorponok is turned away leans over and makes a face. ]

We make faces like this when pained . [ He purses his lips like when fleshly humans eat something sour or are pinched. ]

But in serious... I think the metal there is a little thin.

[eugenesis]

[Aura squeals at the exaggerated face. The connection between the expression and pain is lost on her.]

She remembers you. It's either the voice or the mannerisms. [He turns around and wipes the metal around his elbow.] We'll need a replacement here. Once the infection's all clear, come to my operation room.
